It is so annoying when people are too humble.
when you played a very strong player and lost 0-6. so the game was almost completely lost.
but your opponent says like,
“No, it could have gone either way,” Or, “It was more close than the score."
If so, I would immediately say this
"Are you idiot? I lost to you in bagels, it can't be a close game.so you bastard!"
I know the guy is trying to be considerate, but I want to tell him no thank you.
This is described as "In some cases,politeness is impolite", right?
that is not sure if this is the right expression, but people who are too humble to be annoying.
However, when I hear someone say, “You are so weak!" then I'd like to slap him,.
so the choice of words is difficult.
After a match, you win or lose, it is always best to be careful about what you say.
On the other if when I win 6-0, I don't say anything to my opponent. Unless they ask me for something.
At least, if there is only the result, I don't need anything else.
